Moving On

Last March 28-April 4, 2014 me and my friends Yen and Maden attended the PLTI (PSALM Leadership Training Institute) with the theme “Moving On” procured from Isaiah 43: 18-19. This is a nationwide event, therefore there are participants all over the Philippines. Its all so fun and exciting to get to know people from different places in the Philippines. I know it has been too long since the training, but since I still couldn’t “Move On”, I’ll blog about it instead. (haha)

The 7-day event was held at Dao, Pagadian City. There are 4 (four) different levels you’ll go through as you repetitively join the training every year. The said levels are Basic, Advanced, Specialized and Administrative levels, and me and yen are in Specialized level already. Participants of this level before told us that this is the most relaxed and fun level among the four levels. We did so many activities. One of which is (and my favorite) is the Song composition based on the theme “Moving On”. The section/group’s song that’ll be chosen will become the batch’s graduation song. Since I’m really very proud of the song that our section/group made (It’s Passionate by the way, our section’s name), which was chosen as the graduation song. Imma share it you guys. 😀

And oh by the way, here are some of the photos taken during the training. There are lots, but of course I just chose the ones that has me on it. (hehehehe)

This happens every morning (devotionals) before breakfast. 🙂

We were sent out to share the gospel during this day. Big smiles everyone! 😀

Cagayan de Oro Reprezentz!

These are all the participants during the training. 173 Delegates from all over the Philippines, of course, mostly from Mindanao.

We also had exams on the last day after all the lessons on the previous days. Kinda hard!

These are the Specialized Delegates during the Graduation and Banquet. 25 delegates in the said level. Wondered why we’re dressed like this? The theme of the party was Prince and Princesses. So these are the outfits we came up with.

Me and my partner Kuya Simpol. I liked this photo so much, made me looked like I’m tall and thin. (haha)

Image

Yen and her partner Matt-matt. The “towering” pair. They’re both tall. Like really tall. She said she’s a galactic princess which explains the galaxy printed dress. ^_^

Finally received my certificate! Didn’t got the Academic Award though. #MedyoAmbisyosa (haha)

This is my favorite photo of me and my room mates. We call ourselves “The Artis” for fun.

Last day or the farewell day finally came. 😥

Me and Maden played with “Miming-in-a-box” for the last time. We hate to say goodbye to that very cute cat. But yeah, I guess that was all for the training. I hope you had fun looking at the pictures. Didn’t elaborate the event through words, because I believed that “Pictures already speaks a thousand words” (or so as the saying goes, whatever. I know you get what I mean. (haha)

Thanks for dropping by my page!

Time Travel Tuesday

Since my summer getaway will still be this Saturday, let me share to you one summer escaped I had last year with my high school batchmates in Midway Resort, Initao.

It’s a man-made White sand resort. But still worth-it with the clear blue green waters and nice sunset/sunrise view. Many local photographers do photoshoots in this place because it’s the nearest White Sand Resort in Cagayan de Oro and it doesn’t look any cheaper than those from far away areas like Camiguin. Entrance way back 2013 is 25php, I don’t know if it still has the same price today. They also have different activities to offer like coral reef watching for 30mins, Banana boat ride for 10pax, Zipline and more!

Well, here are some of the photos taken in Midway. Due to the very beautiful sunset we took much photos of ourselves rather than that of the activities we did. 😀

If you’re a resident of Cagayan de Oro City, I suggest you visit this place as well. It’s just a 45min-ride from the city and you’ll already get to feel fresh air, white sand and clear salty waters. 🙂

When God Made You

A bride in white beautifully adorned wedding gown walking slowly down the isle to the tune of the wedding melody ringing throughout the church’s infrastructure. Awwwweee, don’t you just love weddings? I, myself dreamt of the day that I’ll be the one walking on the same Isle as hers with the man I love waiting for me in front. (Plus points if he will cry as my friend always say! :D) I dreamt of the day that I too can sing the same lyrics of the song “When God Made You” to my other half. ❤

Oh well so much for day dreaming, let’s proceed to the wedding of the year. Last April 25, 2014, I was invited to Atsi Karla and Kuya Ace’s wedding. The event was grand and intimate. Relatives and close friends were the only ones who were invited. From the venue of the wedding ceremony to the reception, everything was thoroughly thought of and carefully planned. For you to a better picture of what I’m talking about, here are some of the photos during the wedding that me and my friend took.

Self-Meister : Unveiled

I know I have enoughLY (yet just briefly) introduced myself on my first blog post, but my blogger/model friend here Andrew prompted me to rewrite/remake/follow-up my self-introductory post. According to him it doesn’t say much of who I am and most of all, no part of that blog post explains why I named my blog site “Self-Meister”

Image

So, before I explain the Self-Meister thingy, I would like to introduce myself again (blame Andrew, so sorry imaginary readers for this blog post interruption). I’m Christine Paula Quiapo Putis, a pretty common name for a very unique person (yes, I consider myself unique, besides nobody else has the same thumb mark as mine, unless you have those cool gadget of the spies). I have lots of aliases (mehehehhe! yes! I consider them my alias/covers — feeling spy!). Way back in college friends call me Tin-tin and some Chris (as per how/what I introduced my nickname was just because I think it sounds cool). But my close friends (in college) prefer to call me Tin-tin because they think Chris is too formal for my crazy persona (yep! I get that a lot — wrong impressions! tsk. tsk. tsk. hahaha). But in my home town, CdeO, I’m popularly (yes! popularly! no side comments please! heheh) known as Kring-kring (my since-birth-nickname) or Paula (grade school/ elementary and high school friends came up with this). Moving ong, my personal hobbies are reading novels (slow reader though), my fave’s action-filled stories; watching movies and koreanovelas, RomCom is my topmost priority (I know, I can be this cheesy); and most of all, my favoritEST…STALKING!!!! — myself!!! (you read that right! I’m one self-conceited and self-infatuated person) I am in love with myself, (forgive me Lord for this vanity! huhuhu) but on one ironic hand I am also one greatly INSECURE and self-discriminator type of person. Arriving to such topic, I bet you now have an idea why the name “Self-Meister”, to help you further organize your thoughts, let me elaborate my explanation with the following…

SELF (self) noun : a person’s essential being that distinguishes them from others

-MEISTER comb : denoting a person regarded as skilled or prominent in a specified area of activity. Origin German meaning “master”

(thanks to my friend Webster for providing such efficient definitions)

I believe, as what above definition say, that I am skilled/prominent to nothing but knowing oneself/my own self and that not of others. Although I know for myself (also) that there are stuffs that I still don’t know about myself, I’m on the process of knowing it! And the stuffs that I will be posting in my blog (but not all) will mainly be subjected about myself or if not will (still) be related to me. I don’t specifically have any topic in mind that I wish to focus. But hopefully I can (be able to) tackle about fashion (since I’m to gullible especially when there’s ever women’s temptation — SALE!!), travel/places (I’m a sucker for adventures!) and lifestyle (I really love to discover new stuffs ‘ya know? Like food to eat? hahaha)

I know I’m being too much of a narcissist (for you). But believe me, I’m not, for I’m not having those grandiose delusions (yet! haha) that narcissists usually have.

Image

By the way, I’m kind of an old fashion writer. I like to write things on paper first before I transfer it on a blog. (haha! classic! I know!)

P.S. On this note, I would like to inform you that I started a blog not because I wanted to be famous or what, I just wanted to divert my attention in to writing good and positive stuffs about me rather than sulking and thinking about the my negative qualities? hahah

See you on my next posts hope this won’t discourage you from reading and sharing your thoughts on my future blogs! ciao! 🙂
